About the SBSSV

The SBSSV (Salzburg Association of Professional Ski and Snowboard Instructors) operates as a self-governing body and is not a public-law corporation. It serves as the official authority for ski schools in the province of Salzburg, entrusted with the administration and implementation of the Ski School and Snowboard School Act.

In addition, the SBSSV is the central training organization for all ski and snowboard instructors in Salzburg. It is responsible for the education, certification, and ongoing professional development within the industry.

Currently, the SBSSV oversees approximately 150 ski schools and represents around 6,000 ski and snowboard instructors across the region.

The SBSSV also promotes and represents the teaching philosophy of the Austrian Ski School internationally. Its activities extend beyond Salzburg, with ongoing international engagement. At present, the association is actively involved in training programs in China.

In autumn 2025, SBSSV was commissioned by the umbrella organization ÖSSV to conduct training programs abroad on behalf of ÖSSV for Austria.
